SAKO SIX

Discover the Majesty of Cape Town by Bicycle

Having ridden across the planet—from the Pyrenees and the Alps to the winding roads of Europe and the ancient trails out of Petra in Jordan—I can say with complete honesty that few places match the breathtaking beauty of Cape Town’s peninsula. The roads that criss-cross majestic Table Mountain and hug the coastline where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet offer an experience like no other.

Why Cape Town Cycling Should Be on Your Bucket List

I have ridden these roads countless times and know every bend, climb, and descent of the Cape Town peninsula like the back of my hand. Whether you want to push hard and fast or take it slow and savour the views, the joy of cycling here—paired with stops at our world-class coffee shops, cafés, and lunch spots—should not be missed.

Your Safety Matters More Than You Realise

Despite pockets of excellent cycling infrastructure, Cape Town remains an area where personal safety and awareness of your surroundings are essential. Even with smart devices and GPS computers, getting lost or stranded on an unfamiliar road can quickly turn a perfect ride into a stressful or risky situation. I am here to remove that risk entirely.

My Unique Way of Offering You Confidence During Your Ride

With more than 20,000 km ridden almost every year in challenging  weather conditions and high-risk areas, I understand the real dangers cyclists face on Cape Town’s roads.

This is not a guided tour. I am not here to share historical facts or make small talk. I am a dedicated athlete with significant physiological adaptations compared to most cyclists. I have developed a unique ability to sustain high energy output, which means I will always have the reserves to support and protect you should the need arise.

If you’re having a tough day and don’t have the energy left for the final climb, I can step in to help. The ride is completely yours — your pace, your conversations, your experience.

I provide discreet, professional close-quarter protection so you can focus entirely on enjoying the journey.

Complete Privacy and Peace of Mind

If you are riding with a partner, friends, or family and want private conversations, I remain completely out of earshot. Your experience is yours alone. At coffee stops, cafés, or lunch breaks—the biggest worry for most cyclists is leaving bikes unattended. While you relax in the privacy of your own company, I personally watch over every bike, keeping them secure from wind, theft, or handling by others.

Why choose Sako Six Cycling and what does it cost

Not everyone want to ride with lots of other people and in addition ride a pre-planned route that was not theirs to start off with.

Sako six cycling offers the client to choose what they want to do on that day or plan ahead. The versatility and adapting on the fly is one of the unique offerings.

There can be a suggestion of another route owing to experience with wind and the typical wind directions that are experienced in Cape Town.

Taylor your speed you, you get to choose how hard or fast you want to go. Maybe you are from abroad and want to target a KOM. Let SAKØ SIX CYCLING make that happen.

You may also be a novice cyclist and are nervous in high traffic and aggressive motorist. SAKO SIX CYCLING helps to make you feel comfortable and secure.

Lastly our discreet and low key approach to how we do things affords you more privacy and once again keep the ride yours and your group alone.

Pricing is determined by a case by case cycling tour. Please email me for pricing and invoicing
